Upper control arms are an integral part of independent front suspension (IFS) vehicles and generally connect the top of the knuckle to the frame. These components continually locates and guides the knuckle in a pre-determined path when the suspension cycles up and down during driving. The SST upper control arms are the same arms included with ReadyLift's full SST lift kits; however, they are now also offered as a standalone for customers seeking to upgrade their lifted truck with superior UCAs. * Constructed from Drawn Over Mandrel (DOM) round steel tubing—the DOM tubing is produced for a more exact OD and ID tolerance and has the highest weld strength possible making SST upper control arms some of the toughest tubular arms in the industry
